Mothering LLC (“Mothering”, “we”, “us”, “our”) respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and protect your personal data when you visit mothering.om or place an order with us, in accordance with Oman's Personal Data Protection Law (Royal Decree No. 6/2022) and its Executive Regulation.

1. Data We Collect
  • Identity and contact data: your name, phone number, email address, and delivery address.
  • Order data: products purchased, order value, and payment method selected.
  • Payment data: processed securely by our payment partner, Paymob; we do not store your full card details.
  • Technical data: IP address, browser type, and website usage data, where applicable.
  • Communications: messages you send us via WhatsApp, email, or Instagram.
2. How We Use Your Data
  • To process and deliver your orders, including sharing your name, phone number, and delivery address with our logistics partner, DOT, solely for delivery purposes.
  • To process payments through Paymob.
  • To issue tax invoices and maintain accounting and legal records, as required under Omani law.
  • To respond to your enquiries and provide customer support.
  • To send you order updates and, only where you have consented, marketing communications, which you may withdraw your consent to at any time.
  • To comply with our legal obligations, including under the Consumer Protection Law.
3. Legal Basis for Processing

We process your personal data on the basis of: your explicit, informed consent (for example, when you place an order or subscribe to marketing); the necessity of processing to perform our contract with you (fulfilling your order); and compliance with our legal obligations under Omani law.

4. Sharing Your Data

We share your data only with trusted service providers who help us operate our business, and only to the extent necessary for the purposes described above:

  • Odoo — our website and e-commerce platform.
  • Paymob — payment processing.
  • DOT — delivery and logistics.
  • Google Workspace and WhatsApp Business — customer communications.

We do not sell your personal data to any third party.

5. International Data Transfers

Where any of our service providers process your data outside Oman, we take reasonable steps to ensure an adequate level of protection is in place at the destination, and we obtain your consent where required, in accordance with the Personal Data Protection Law and its Executive Regulation.

6. Data Retention

We retain your personal data only for as long as necessary to fulfil the purposes described in this policy, including to meet our accounting, tax, and legal record-keeping obligations under Omani law, after which it is securely deleted or anonymised.

7. Your Rights

Under Oman's Personal Data Protection Law, you have the right to:

  • Withdraw your consent to processing at any time;
  • Request access to, correction of, or erasure of your personal data;
  • Request a copy of your data in a portable format;
  • Object to certain processing of your data, including for direct marketing; and
  • Lodge a complaint with the Ministry of Transport, Communications and Information Technology (MTCIT).

We will respond to any written request within 45 days, as required by the Executive Regulation of the Personal Data Protection Law.

8. Data Security

We apply reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your personal data against unauthorised access, loss, or misuse. In the unlikely event of a data breach affecting your rights, we will notify you and the competent authority without undue delay, in accordance with the Personal Data Protection Law.

9. Cookies

Our Website may use cookies to improve your browsing experience and analyse site traffic. You can manage or disable cookies through your browser settings.

10. Children's Data

While many of our customers are parents shopping for children, our Website and services are directed at adults, and we do not knowingly collect personal data directly from children.
