Warranty Policy — Electronic & Electrical Products

This policy applies to electronic and electrical products sold by Mothering LLC through mothering.om — for example, electric breast pump units, electric sterilisers, baby monitors, electric bottle warmers, and similar electrical or electronic baby-care appliances. These fall within the category of goods covered by warranty under Annex (2) of the Executive Regulation of the Consumer Protection Law (Ministerial Decision 77/2017).

1. Warranty Period

We provide a 12-month warranty from the date of delivery on eligible electronic and electrical products — exceeding the 3-month minimum required by Article 27 of the Executive Regulation.

This warranty remains valid for the benefit of any subsequent owner of the product for the remainder of the warranty period, in accordance with Article 17 of the Consumer Protection Law. It cannot be reduced or waived by any agreement to the contrary.

2. What Is Covered

Manufacturing defects and malfunctions arising from normal, intended use of the product, in accordance with the manufacturer's instructions and any usage/safety information provided with the product in Arabic and English.

3. What Is Not Covered
  • Damage caused by misuse, negligence, or accident;
  • Unauthorised repair, modification, or opening of the product;
  • Exposure to liquids, heat, or conditions beyond the product's intended use;
  • Normal wear and tear, including consumable parts and batteries; and
  • Failure to follow the user manual or safety instructions provided with the product.
4. What You Are Entitled To

In accordance with Article 15 of the Executive Regulation, if a covered product is found defective within the warranty period, through no fault of your own, we will — at no additional cost to you:

  1. Repair the product within a reasonable time proportionate to the nature of the defect; or
  2. If repair is not possible, or is attempted and fails on three occasions, replace the product with an identical or equivalent item; or
  3. If a replacement is not available, refund its value, less a fair deduction for any use you had of the product, calculated in accordance with the applicable rules of the Public Authority for Consumer Protection (PACP).

A refund under this warranty covers the price of the product itself. Delivery charges and any Cash on Delivery collection fee already paid on the original order are non-refundable, as set out in our Delivery & Shipping Policy.

5. How to Make a Warranty Claim
  • Contact us at sales@mothering.om or WhatsApp +968 76935536 with your order number or invoice, a description of the fault, and photos or a short video if possible.
  • We (or our authorised service partner) will assess your claim and respond within 3 business days.
  • Please retain your tax invoice, as it serves as your proof of purchase and confirms the warranty start date, in accordance with Article 24 of the Executive Regulation.
  • To assess and act on your claim, we must first receive the product back from you. You may arrange this yourself — by courier, by post, or by dropping the product off in person — at one of the following locations: Genacom Office — Head Office Branch (delivery/courier charges, where applicable, are payable by you; phone +968 76935536); or our Al Hail North, Muscat location — please message us on WhatsApp to request the exact address. We do not charge you for this arrangement; any fee charged by a courier or postal provider you choose is a matter between you and that provider.
6. Product Recalls and Safety Notices

In the rare event that a safety-related defect is identified in a product after sale, we will — in coordination with the Public Authority for Consumer Protection — notify affected customers, withdraw the product from sale, and bear the full cost of repair, return, or replacement, in accordance with Articles 27 to 32 of the Executive Regulation.

7. Your Statutory Rights

This warranty is offered in addition to, and does not replace or limit, your statutory rights under the Consumer Protection Law and its Executive Regulation, or your rights under our separate Return & Exchange Policy.
